Born in Laurens, son of the late George and Lola Ferguson Mason, he was an employee Waterloo Lumber Chip Co. in Laurens and a member of Duncan's Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are sisters, Marion Wilson and Grace Williams; and brothers, George Jr. and Lonnie Mason, all of Laurens.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Duncan's Creek Baptist Church; burial in the church cemetery. The family is at the home of Roosevelt Rice, 117 Gordon Laurens, but will receive friends 7-8 p.m. Wednesday at Beasley's Funeral Home. Steve Morgan Steve Patterson Morgan, 55, of 409 Rainbow Drive, Greenville, died Tuesday.

A lifelong resident of Greenville County, son of the late Dewitt and Tennie Buckner Morgan, he a former employee of J.P. Stevens Monaghan Plant and a Baptist. Surviving are a daughter, Marilyn M. Stanton of Greenville; sons, Frank D. Morgan of Travelers Rest and Billy Allen E.

and Tracy L. Morgan of Greenville; sisters, Eula Mae M. Long, Annie M. McClain and Mary Belle Neighbors of Greenville; and four grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m.

Thursday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home; burial in Graceland The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mary Ramsey Mary Henderson Ramsey, 72, of 27 Webster Slater, widow of Benjamin Franklin Ramsey, died Monday. A native of Greenwood, she was a retired employee of J.P. Stevens Slater Plant and a member of Slater Baptist Church.

Surviving are daughters, Betty R. Bennett of Marietta and Clara R. Springfield of Cleveland; sons, Gerald T. Ramsey Pendleton and Billy Joe Ramsey of Tampa, sisters, Nellie and Doris and Bessie H. Scrogum of Greenville and Louise H.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home. Vara Reams Vara Eidson Reams, 94, of 125 King Columbia, formerly of Greenville, died Tuesday. Born in Saluda County, she was a member of Augusta Road Baptist Church. Surviving are daughters, Edna R.

Rodgers of Columbia and Lillie R. Padgett of Spartanburg; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Springwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Augusta Road Baptist Church.

A native of Hendersonville, N.C., son of Paul and Ruth Peace Seay of Lyman, he was an employee of Startex Mill and a member of Hope Free Will Baptist Church.
