She served on the advisory board of the Women's Department at the MidSouth Fair and was program chairman for the fair's Senior Citizens talent show for several years. She was past president of the Salon Circle and a past board member of the United Cerebral Palsy Association.

She served on the City Beautiful Commission as a block chairman and taught sewing for several years at Neighborhood House. She was former endowment chairman for the Ninth District, Tennessee Federation of Women's Clubs. She was made an honarary life member of Temple Israel in 1955.
