OnboardingInitial onboarding training for all AmeriCorps members will take place immediately upon hiring and focus on UF Human Resources, 4-H Standards of Expectations and Youth Protection, and AmeriCorps expectations and allowable and prohibited activities.

Monthly Check-insTopics will cover areas that need further addressing dependent on member needs as determined by members and/or supervisors on an ongoing basis
Evaluations and Reporting
Quarterly program delivery performance evaluations between the member and on-site supervisor and/or other supervisor. The member will be provided with the criteria and timeline for evaluating their performance. Performance evaluations will provide information to inform the program’s service delivery and will help the member successfully complete the terms of their service.
Bi-weekly timesheet reporting
Monthly data reports, to include number of reached participants and environmental education evaluation data
Quarterly narrative reports of education programs and delivery

Time of ServiceTime Of ServiceAugust 2023 – July 2024 (hiring is on a rolling basis, members will be onboarded as available)
AmeriCorps members can serve as a Full-time (1700 hrs), Three-Quarters Time, (1200 hrs), Half-time (900 hrs), or One-Quarter Time (450 hrs) Member. Service hours will vary, depending upon when you start in the service year.
Typically M-F, 8-5. Some night and weekend work required.
Expected Salary$980 Biweekly living stipend.
Minimum RequirementsHigh School diploma or its equivalent is minimum requirements.
Preferred QualificationsPreferred qualification is a Bachelors Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience, in sciences, education, natural resources, youth development, recreational leadership or other related fields is required. Must pass a Background Screening prior to hire. Valid driver’s license preferred.
