Card Dex Registration Update: A New Era for Pokémon Trading Card Game
Hey there, Pokémon trainers! Are you ready to take your card collection to the next level? We're thrilled to announce an exciting update to the Card Dex system, designed to enhance your Pokémon Trading Card Game experience and make your collection shine brighter than ever before.
But here's where it gets controversial...
We're overhauling how cards are registered in the Card Dex, and this isn't just a minor tweak. It's a major overhaul that will change the way you interact with your collection. So, get ready to dive into the details and see how this update will impact your Pokémon journey.
A More Comprehensive Collection
One of the biggest changes is how cards that appear in multiple booster packs are handled. Currently, if you obtain a card like the rare Mewtwo ex, it's only registered in the Card Dex for the specific booster pack where you found it. But with the update, it will be registered for all corresponding booster packs, including the Deluxe Pack: ex.
For example, if you pull a ♦♦♦♦ rarity Mewtwo ex from the Genetic Apex booster pack, it will now also be listed in your Card Dex for the Deluxe Pack: ex. This means you can easily track your progress across different booster packs and see your collection in a whole new light.
Looking Back, Moving Forward
Another exciting aspect of the update is that cards you've already obtained, including those from the Deluxe Pack: ex, will be automatically registered in every applicable Card Dex, retroactively. So, if you've been collecting for a while, you'll be able to see your entire collection in one place, making it easier to organize and manage.
When Can You Expect This Update?
We're working hard to release this update after summer 2026, along with some related UI improvements. We want to make sure everything is just right before we launch, so we appreciate your patience as we fine-tune the details.
And this is the part most people miss...
While we're making these exciting changes, we want to hear from you! Do you think this update will make the Card Dex more enjoyable? Or do you have concerns about how it might impact your collection management? Share your thoughts in the comments below, and let's keep the discussion going. Together, we can shape the future of the Pokémon Trading Card Game and make it even more fun for everyone.
