Formula One drivers are known for driving the fastest cars on the planet, but what do they drive on their day off? Here's a list of 14 of the coolest cars owned by F1 champions, from supercars to classic muscle cars.
- Aston Martin Valkyrie
The $3 million Valkyrie supercar is a dream come true for many F1 champions. Current Aston Martin F1 driver Fernando Alonso and defending champion Max Verstappen both own one. Verstappen's Valkyrie made headlines when he was allegedly caught speeding in it in 2023.
- Mercedes-AMG One
Another $3 million supercar, the Mercedes-AMG One, features an F1-derived engine and hybrid unit. It was tested head-to-head against the Valkyrie. Former F1 champions Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg, both Mercedes F1 team winners, own one. Rosberg's 2016 championship-winning 1.6-litre V6 turbo engine is fitted to the car.

RM Sotheby's auctioned a 1985 Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.3-16 for $230,000. Ayrton Senna owned it from new, and it was driven home from the factory alongside fellow Brazilian F1 driver Maurício Gugelmin. Senna bought it to celebrate his victory at the 1984 Nürburgring Race of Champions.
